So, what is all this talk about PPC advertising? Well, if you didn’t know, PPC stands for Pay Per Click, and it is a great way to advertise your goods and services, and overall, to get your business’s name out there. And the best part is, you will probably see results pretty quickly. But if you do want to see quick results, then our advice would be to pay close attention to the following Do’s and Don’ts to consider before you get started.

What is PPC you ask? Well, basically, it’s a type of digital marketing in which advertisers pay a fee for every time their ad is clicked on. In a nutshell, it is a way of purchasing site visits. In opposition to the organic approach, it is a method in which you will typically receive a much quicker deliverance, and therefore, seeing as we are an ‘immediate results’ type of country, it is quite a popular choice these days.

It’s important to remember…

DO take your time…
Yes, although we are an ‘I want it and I want it now,” type of country, it is still important to try and take your time. Ensure that your ads focus around the specific needs of your potential consumers/customers/viewers. It will defeat the purpose of the ad if a click leads to a realized ‘waste of time,’ due to lack of relevance.

DON’T forget about your landing page…
Your landing page is going to be your viewer’s true “first impression.” Just because you have conquered getting the clicks, doesn’t mean the clickers are automatically going to take the next step in the process and make the purchase. Make sure your landing page is appealing, informal, not overcrowded, and aesthetically pleasing.

DO the necessary research…
You need to make sure that you are on the same ‘page’ [pun intended] as your target audience… you need to make sure that you know what they are looking for, what they are interested in, what their needs are, and what the most-likely end result will be, by means of them clicking forward to get to you. It’s important to use relevant keywords and phrases that they are likely to be searching for.

DON’T forget about location…
It’s an important part of the research to know your target audience’s demographics, and one of those includes where they are located. For example, you don’t want someone wandering to your page and only then realizing that you are a small store that only sells to a local neighborhood in Arkansas, when they are from Oklahoma. And the same goes for folks that are located in the DFW area, and that is the only area you do business, look for perhaps a Fort Worth PPC agency or an agency that knows the area well, as they will likely also be the most knowledgeable of that same location.

DO dare to be a little different…
What do we mean by this? Find a way to make yourself stand out a bit… Yes, we know there really are only a set amount of limited characters to play around with, but this is your chance to get creative! What is your unique selling proposition? What makes you better than competitors? Get a little creative.
